My First Post!

Hello, and welcome to my blog! This is the first proper post I'm making, which feels exciting!

Since we just got the autumn update a few days ago, I'll write about that. I guess I'm a little late, but oh well.

The first thing in the Jamaa Journal is the Pumpkins and Spice bundle.

It costs 30 diamonds in the Diamond Shop, and as you can see from the screenshot, it comes with a great horned owl, pet armadillo, Sol Arcade den, and two accessory sets, Pumpkin Spiced Outfit and Pumpkin Pie Outfit.

Personally, I don't think I'll be buying it. I don't really want an owl or pet armadillo, and I'm pretty sure I already have a Sol Arcade den.

Usually when I buy the bundles, it's because I think the accessories are cute, and these ones are just okay to me. The pie hat is cute, but I don't think I'm paying 30 diamonds just for a pie hat... sorry AJHQ.

The next page in the Jamaa Journal informs me that there is, in fact, Animal Jam lore that I haven't been keeping up with since last time I played the game.

Even as a kid I wasn't super into the lore of the Alphas and adventures and stuff, so I have no idea what is happening here.

Going to the Whatever Temple that it tells me to go to does have a book that's full of lore, more than I really want to read at the moment, and I totally definitely feel like I need some prior knowledge I glossed over in all the adventures I haven't played since I was 11 to understand what's happening here, so I'll check all that out later.

For real though, I think it's pretty cool they're still making lore for the game. It's pretty obviously on the backburner for Play Wild, so seeing it get anything new like this at all makes me happy. It makes me feel like it's not abandoned despite everything. Unless this is old stuff being recycled as new for an update lol.

Speaking of that..

I swear every time one of the animals comes back they word it like it's brand new.

I didn't even know this game had camels, so I really did think they were brand new until I looked it up. I kind of wish they'd say these animals were 'returning' instead of Officially Arriving or whatever, but I get why they don't. It is definitely more fun to pretend this game still gets new animals lol.

The only reason I bothered screenshotting the whole journal page for this one was the horses straight up being the MLP cast, I didn't even realize that the first time I looked at it, but it's kind of funny now that I have.

I didn't buy the new fall bundle, but you know what I did buy..?

A pet turkey! Say hello to Sugarcrystal.

Another thing I'm super happy about from this update is the Twists & Turns adventure!

The seasonal adventures are all super awesome and nostalgic to me, so I'm really happy to see this one back!

I kind of play this game on and off, and I missed almost all of the Halloween stuff, but at least I'm getting to experience the Thanksgiving games and items.

Other people have already made way better comprehensive lists of all the Twists and Turns prizes, so I'm not going to bother. I will say that I love all the items though! The prizes are all super good for decorating cute fall dens. Here's me and my new friend Sugarcrystal, who's all dressed up festive for fall and enjoying a nice cup of hot cocoa by the fire with me.

The last thing I didn't cover in the Jamaa Journal was a PSA about donating to food banks, which is definitely super important, especially now.

...And was everything in this update! I'm having a lot of fun with it, all the fall stuff feels so festive, it makes me excited to play during the Jamaalidays again.

If I remember correctly, updates are every other Thursday, so my next post about an update will be in 2 weeks from now! Exciting.

Even if I don't get any readers, I'm still going to try to update this place more often than every 2 weeks. Maybe I'll talk about my nostalgia for this game, or post prizes I get in adventures or something... I dunno! If you're reading this, comment in my guestbook what you wanna see me write about!
